Community Outreach

As long-standing members of the Los Angeles community, Lapidus & Lapidus gives back through various charitable efforts and pro bono work. As the founders of the COACH for Kids Golf Classic, we have helped raise over $200,000 to benefit Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s COACH for Kids and Their Families® Program (www.Cedars-Sinai.edu/coach). This landmark mobile medical and case management program has provided free expert clinical care and social services since 1994 for low-income and medically underserved children and their families in Los Angeles County.

In 2017, we founded the PHRF Open, a golf tournament to raise money for the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation to support research dedicated to finding a treatment and an eventual cure for Pitt Hopkins and other similar disorders.

Founder and Managing Partner Ryan Lapidus is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Board of Governors, supporting the Association’s efforts to advocate for justice in Los Angeles and throughout the country. Ryan also serves on the Central District of California’s Court Mediation Panel, volunteering his time to assist litigants in settling cases before the District Court.

Daniel Lapidus has served on the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2009, and on its Executive Committee since 2012. The Board of Governors is the primary fundraising and leadership group at Cedars-Sinai; its current campaign is raising $50 million for the Board of Governors Innovation Center, which will develop treatment strategies through comprehensive molecular profiling of diseases using leading-edge biomedical technologies. These efforts will focus on prevention and discovery of the least toxic, yet most effective new drugs for cancer, diabetes, disorders of the heart, lung and brain, as well as high-risk pregnancy and many others.
