Matthew J. Zeidel

Matthew J. Zeidel is an associate at Lapidus & Lapidus who joined the firm in October 2017. He primarily practices in the firm's general litigation group, with a focus on business disputes.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Zeidel's practice consisted mainly of advising business owners on their legal rights and obligations. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Zeidel worked as a print journalist, covering issues ranging from the global energy industry to local politics and crime.

Mr. Zeidel received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2007. In 2015, Mr. Zeidel earned his juris doctor from UCLA School of Law, where he served as a judicial extern for the Los Angeles Superior Court (Hon. Bruce G. Iwasaki) and as a Staff Editor on the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. He is licensed to practice in California and New York.

Mr. Zeidel has performed pro bono legal work through Bet Tzedek and the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law and has volunteered as a mediator. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Janice; their sons, Theo and Milo; and their dogs, Sully and Sasha.
